DECEMBERFEST: A SEASON OF BLESSINGS AT LVF

December is not merely the final month on a calendar; it is a grand, glittering finale of the year where the world is dressed in light as it welcomes Jesus, the little Babe in the manger! Jesus’ birth, which means “Yahweh saves”, brings joy to the world!  LVF is delighted to have served 22,191 individuals through its center-based and community-based programs in 2025.

Walking down a neighborhood street in December becomes an immersive gallery experience—every window a golden frame, every lawn a stage for shimmering Nativity sets, Christmas trees, and lights. Beyond the beauty of the colorful buildings, the community comes to life with the joyful, beaming smiles of its children, especially during the LVF Annual Parti-han. Just before the year ends, LVF continues to save, as it conducted an advocacy session for 1,420 students in Bulacan against online sexual abuse and exploitation of children in commemoration of the 18-day campaign to end violence against women and their children.

This year, God blessed us with good health and showered us with His generous graces. Spreading Christmas joy on the road—LVF heads to LVF Child Protection Clinic (CPC) Communities in Taguig (Dec. 23); Cavite (Dec. 21); Antipolo (Dec. 21); Nangka, Marikina (Dec. 16); Sta. Mesa (Dec. 21); Botocan (Dec. 21); Culiat (Dec. 21); Hillcrest (Dec. 17), and Brgy. Pinagkaisahan (Dec. 17) with gifts and smiles! Children and their parents enjoyed a joyful Parti-Han filled with love and laughter!

Parti-han is LVF’s annual Christmas gift-giving tradition. Rooted in the words imparting and parti (to share), it is a meaningful celebration of sharing God’s graces and reflecting His goodness with the community.

The CPC Communities, especially the kids, greatly anticipate this Christmas tradition. They run the CPC truck loaded with grocery items, thrift clothing, and toys! The CPC leaders and parents have ever prepared song-and-dance performances for the Sisters, expressing their heartfelt gratitude for another fruitful year together: “Maraming salamat Sisters sa pagtuturo, pagmamahal, pag-alala” (Thank you, Sisters, for your teachings, formations, love, and remembrance). Heartfelt messages of gratitude from the CPC communities flooded LVF’s Facebook page following the distribution of gifts.

Through these simple gifts, you can feel the spirit of giving and unity! Many thanks to all the donors and those who shared their blessings to make this day memorable for our children and families.

LVF OSAEC-CSAEM ADVOCACY SESSION

Dec. 09. One thousand, four hundred twenty (1,420) students from Virginia Ramirez Cruz National High School (VRCHHS) at Pandi, Bulacan actively joined the commemoration of the 18-day Campaign to End Violence Against Women & Children through an awareness-raising campaign on Online Sexual Abuse & Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) conducted by LVF!

Most of the participants were not familiar with OSAEC, “I do not know what OSAEC is,” one of them asked during the discussion. That started the dialogue. The data and the legal basis were discussed. Ms. Joy discussed protective behaviors to prevent abuse, including a reporting mechanism.

With the realization of the stark realities of online sexual abuse and exploitation, its grave violation of human rights, and the vulnerabilities of young people as a larger consumer/user of different online platforms, the participants shared with the group to “be vigilant, be wary of who we accept as online friends”. One of the girls was moved at the extent of abuse that some children experience, expressing that “malungkot na mayroong nakakaranas ng ganitong klase ng pang-aabuso at sobra-sobra ang impact nito sa mga biktima” (It is sad knowing that there are children, young people out there that fall victims to this kind of abuse, and I cannot imagine its impact that the victim experiences.) Participants shared their perspectives on how children and students can avoid becoming victims of OSAEC. Key strategies included practicing mutual respect and strictly refusing to engage with, respond to, or share obscene images or videos encountered on social media platforms such as Facebook Reels and YouTube. Ms. Ma. Lourdes Valondo, school principal, expressed her profound gratitude to the LVF team, noting the vital role these preventive advocacy sessions play in empowering and protecting their students.

Thank you to VRCNHS school principal Ms. Ma. Lourdes Valondo, faculty, staff & students! Many thanks, too, to the LVF Team led by Sr. Sheila Marie Ducot, FMA, and Sr. Joy Impelido; Social Workers: Ms. Josielyn Hugo, Ms. Jessa Mae Nardo, Ms. Rosea Marie Monsay; LVF Scholars and adult support: Ms. Adelaida Braga. Following the session, the students shared a warm meal of hot soup and bread, thoughtfully prepared by the LVF staff and Vicunians.

REJOICE, A CHILD IS BORN!

Dec. 24. This Christmas, we gather not around perfection, but around a Child laid in a manger—fragile, gentle, and deeply loved. In Him, we recognize our own stories: stories of waiting, of wounds, of longing for light. To our dear Sisters, staff, and lay mission partners: Thank you for being the hands that protect, the hearts that listen, and the presence that remains. Like Mary and Joseph, you have learned to love quietly, to serve faithfully, and to create safe spaces where life can begin again. Your compassion is a living Gospel, especially for those entrusted to our care.

(This Christmas, we want to remind you that you are important, loved, and not alone. Christmas is not just a story of joy and song—it is a story of God choosing to be born in weakness, in silence, and in the midst of darkness. Jesus was born in a manger—not perfect, not luxurious—like some of our experiences. And in that place, He chose to live. So too, today, He decides to be with you through every wound, through every tear, and through every step of your healing.)

May this Christmas remind us that healing is holy, that every step toward wholeness is a miracle, and that light always finds a way through the darkest night. As one family, may we continue to walk together—protecting, restoring, and loving—until every heart knows peace, every voice is heard, and every life is safe. Emmanuel—God is with us. Today, and always. Blessed and grace-filled Christmas to all.

A GIFT OF SONG FOR THE CHILD BORN FOR US

Christmas becomes truly meaningful when it is lived as a gift of self, and this was beautifully witnessed when the Laura Vicuña Girls, accompanied by Sr. Phebe Lacse, FMA, served as the choir at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral during the Christmas Midnight Mass at 6:00 p.m. on May 24, 2025.

Gathered in prayer and song, the girls offered more than melodies—they offered their hearts, time, and youthful generosity to the Child Jesus, born for us and born anew in our hearts. Through sacred music, the celebration was filled with reverence and joy, helping the assembly enter more deeply into the mystery of God who chose to dwell among His people.

Guided by Sr. Phebe Lacse, FMA, the Laura Vicuña Girls experienced this service as a moment of loving accompaniment and joyful responsibility. They were encouraged to place their talents at the service of liturgy, discovering that music can become a form of prayer and a path toward deeper faith. Their harmonious voices reflected not only careful preparation but also hearts shaped by trust, encouragement, and shared prayer. This experience made their Christmas truly special—not centered on receiving, but on offering. Inspired by Blessed Laura Vicuña, the girls learned that the most beautiful gift they could give to Jesus was themselves: voices lifted in praise, lives opened in generosity, and hearts ready to welcome Him.

As their songs filled the Cathedral, they proclaimed a simple yet profound truth of Christmas: Jesus is born for us, so that He may be born in us. In this sacred act of service, the Laura Vicuña Girls lived the joy of Christmas as a celebration of faith, love, and self-giving.

LAURA VICUÑA GIRLS JOIN MARIAN CONCERT FOR THE PARISH’S 75TH ANNIVERSARY

As part of the 75th Anniversary Celebration of the Immaculate Conception Parish on December 13, 2025, a Marian Concert was held in honor of Mary Immaculate, gathering different choirs in a spirit of prayer and thanksgiving. Each participating choir rendered one worship song and one Marian song, offering their voices as a tribute to the Blessed Mother. The Laura Vicuña Girls, accompanied by Sr. Phebe Lacse, FMA, joyfully joined the Cathedral Choir, expressing through song their love, gratitude, joy, reverence, and trust in Mary. More than a musical presentation, their participation became a prayerful witness of how young people, when accompanied with love, are guided to offer their talents for God’s glory. Inspired by Blessed Laura Vicuña, the girls sang with simplicity and faith, placing their gifts at the feet of Mary Immaculate, Mother and Help of Christians.

A NEW YEAR FILLED WITH HOPE AT LVF

After participating in the New Year’s Eve Mass at the Cathedral at around 7:00 p.m., the Laura Vicuña Girls returned home with grateful hearts, carrying with them the grace of the Eucharist as they prepared to welcome the New Year. At around 10:00 p.m., they gathered at the chapel for a brief prayer, thanking God for the blessings and challenges of 2025 in a spirit of gratitude and forgiveness. In silence and song, they entrusted to the Lord all that had been, while opening their hearts to 2026 with hope and renewal, asking for grace to grow in faith, love, and responsibility. Following this prayerful pause, the girls joyfully prepared and shared a meal on the roof deck. Simple food, shared laughter, and heartfelt conversations strengthened their sense of community and belonging. As midnight drew near, they waited with excitement and anticipation, welcoming 2026 as they watched the magnificent fireworks light up the sky. Surrounded by joy, prayer, and togetherness, the Laura Vicuña Girls began the New Year with hopeful hearts—ready to embrace new beginnings and God’s unfolding plans.

SAFEGUARDING AS MISSION: A SALESIAN COMMITMENT OF HEALING, JUSTICE, AND HOPE

Sr. Phebe Lacse, FMA, actively participated in the Gathering on Safeguarding with the theme “Safeguarding: A Shared Mission of Healing, Justice and Hope,” held on December 8–10, 2025, at Maryhill Retreat House, Taytay, Rizal. The gathering brought together women and men religious from different Congregations who are directly engaged in apostolates with children, youth, and women at risk, whether in schools, communities, or parish settings. It became a sacred space of communion, listening, and collective commitment to safeguarding as a Gospel mandate and a concrete expression of consecrated life today.
In this significant ecclesial and social encounter, Sr. Phebe carried with her the lived experience and mission of the Laura Vicuña Foundation, presenting its Child Protection Program as a concrete and effective response to the urgent call to safeguard the vulnerable. She shared the best practices developed and implemented by the Foundation—rooted in prevention, education, accompaniment, and collaboration—highlighting how safeguarding is not merely a policy but a culture of care that transforms institutions and empowers persons. Strong emphasis was given to the Foundation’s advocacies to prevent abuse, exploitation, trafficking, and bullying, especially among children and young people at risk. A powerful highlight of her sharing was the launching and expansion of the “#iamBRAVE Movement” across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. This movement, born from the heart of the Laura Vicuña Foundation, was presented as a prophetic initiative that gives voice to the voiceless and restores dignity to survivors. Its impact is seen not only in protection but in empowerment—forming children, youth, and women to become advocates themselves, capable of speaking out, protecting others, and breaking the cycle of silence and fear. The testimonies and outcomes shared revealed how the movement nurtures courage, self-worth, and hope, turning vulnerability into strength and mission. Sr. Phebe’s participation was received in a spirit of communion and discernment, as her sharing resonated with the shared concern of all present for the care and protection of the most vulnerable. In an atmosphere of trust and service, she was asked to assume the role of Head of the Commission on Protection, a responsibility welcomed in humility and entrusted to the help of Mary, Help of Christians. This moment is lived not as a personal acknowledgment but as a grace flowing from the collective journey of the Laura Vicuña Foundation, whose mission continues to be a quiet yet steadfast witness of healing, justice, and hope.

LVF ANNUAL PARTI-HAN 2024: A HEARTWARMING CELEBRATION OF HOPE & SOLIDARITY

Parti-han is a Hiligaynon dialect that translates as “to divide, to share, to impart.” It could also mean “to celebrate, to party, or to rejoice.” From this, we can say that LVF’s Annual Parti-han is a gesture of love and brings Christ’s light closer to the people, especially to the kids with this year’s theme, “Liwanag ng Pag-asa, Handog ng PASKO!” (“Light of Hope, A Christmas Gift!”)

Every December, LVF holds the Annual Parti-han -an event that brings joy and happiness to many. This year’s theme, “Liwanag ng Pag-Asa, Handog ng Pasko” (The Light of Hope, A Christmas Gift), perfectly captured the season’s spirit. Christmas packs were distributed by CPC areas which include Hillcrest, Pinagkaisahan, Marikina, Taguig, and Sta. Mesa, Culiat, Botocan, and Cavite.  A heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Marissa Concepcion for the 2,000 blankets,  RFM Corporation for donating kettle corn, Choco Moo drink, and elbow macaroni pasta. LVF also purchased rice, calendars, noodles, canned goods, and spaghetti with sauce for their Christmas noche buena. We also thank Ms. Mel Centeno for the slippers she donated for the kids. The bright smiles and sincere thank-you from the children upon receiving the gift packs are heartwarming gifts to us!

This event reminded us that Christmas is a season of generosity, love, and sharing. Through these simple acts of kindness, we spread the message of hope to all.

LVF is deeply grateful to our donors who made this gift-giving possible. Your continued support significantly brightens the lives of those in need, especially during the holiday season. We could not have done it without your generosity, and we look forward to continuing this journey of giving and community-building in the coming year.

LVF TRUSTEES CELEBRATE THE CHRISTMAS SEASON WITH LVF KIDS

ATTY ERIC PUNO & PUNO LAW OFFICE CHRISTMAS PARTY AT LVF
Dec. 16. The Puno Law Office Christmas Party is the most anticipated event by the LVF children. Atty. Eric Puno, one of LVF’s Board of Directors, along with his senior partners, lawyers, and administrative staff, spent an afternoon with the LVF children from Sta. Mesa and Cubao, Quezon City. It was a day jampacked with fun, encounters, games, agape, and gift-giving facilitated by their lawyers and staff!  The children expressed gratitude through their Christmas carols, dances, drums and lyre, and band exhibitions. (Your presence has given me hope that I may reach my dreams and motivated me to help others as well.)

A DAY AT FIESTA CARNIVAL WITH MS. MERCEDES FORES-LEGARDA

December also brought another fantastic event, where the LVF girls and children from Sta. Mesa was treated to an exciting day at Fiesta Carnival! This special event was made possible by Ms. Mercedes “Bledes” Fores-Legarda, a dedicated member of LVF’s Board of Directors, who sponsored the fun-filled outing. LVF’s 11-year-old Nhickle exclaimed “Masaya makipaglaro sa ibang bata na kahit hind imo kakilala, nakakalaro mo sila…mapapasigaw ka sa tuwa talaga lalo na sa mga rides!” (“It’s fun to play with other kids, even if you don’t know them, you can play with them…it really makes you scream with joy especially with the rides!”) The day was about entertainment, strengthening community bonds, and highlighting the importance of kindness. It was a beautiful reminder of the power of giving and the joy of sharing happy moments with others. “Thank you, Ma’am Bledes, sa oportunidad na makapag-enjoy at sumaya kaming mga Kabataan…naipasyal kami sa lugar na ang saya para sa mga bata. Nagpapasalamat kami ng lubos sa inyong kabutihan! LVF AT THE JESUIT HOUR, RADYO KATIPUNAN

Dec. 03. Laura Vicuna Foundation, Inc., through Sr. Marivic Sta. Ana, FMA, LVF Managing Director, was invited to the Jesuit Hour at Radyo Katipunan 87.9 FM- the campus and community FM radio station of the Ateneo de Manila University community and nearby areas, aired via Facebook live simulcasted in their YouTube channel. This is after the LVF #iamBRVAVE National Convention last November 15, held in Negros Occidental, which gathered two thousand (2, 000) young people from all over the Philippines. Fr. Nono Alfonso, SJ, host of the program, commended LVF’s ministry on child protection: “This is a beautiful ministry for the youth…who are the future of our church and the world…” When Sr. Marivic cited facts and data on child abuse in the Philippines, Fr. Nono was astounded by the severity of the problems facing Filipino Children.  He was stunned to know that the Philippines has become a hotspot, a hub of Online Sexual Abuse & Exploitation of Children (OSAEC), and a distributor of Child Sexual Abuse & Exploitation Materials (CSAEM). In her last appeal to the viewers, Sr. Marivic reiterated that the problem of child protection that we face today is real, and what makes it worse is that often, the abuse starts in the family. She strongly encouraged everyone to “…STAND UP, whether old, young, or a child; WE HAVE TO STAND UP AND SPEAK UP AND TOGETHER WE CAN BE BRAVE: BEAT AND END ABUSE, TRAFFICKING, AND EXPLOITATION. Ms. Carol Thor, an LVF Volunteer, and a parent, appealed to all parents to ensure that ALL CHILDREN ARE PROTECTED INSIDE THE HOME AS WELL AS OUTSIDE…be engaged in what their children are doing. And for the young people to know and be assured that there is always someone listening, someone who wants and can help them.

LIGHTING THE CANDLES OF ADVENT

Lighting the candles of Advent each week serves as a reminder to prepare one’s heart and mind for Christmas. It encourages reflection on the season’s true meaning: the birth of Jesus Christ and the message of salvation and redemption He brings. The lighting of candles during Advent has significant symbolic meaning in Christian traditions: Hope: The first candle, often purple, represents hope. It symbolizes the anticipation and longing for the coming of Christ, the Messiah, and the hope He brings to the world. Peace: The second candle often signifies peace. It reflects the peace that Christ brings to the world and the preparation for His arrival. Joy: The third candle, usually pink, represents joy. It marks a shift in the tone of Advent from penitential reflection to joyful anticipation of Christ’s birth.; Love: The fourth candle symbolizes love, emphasizing the love of God for humanity and the love that Christians should share with others.

FEAST OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION

Dec. 09. LVF sang at the Holy Mass for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception! Our Blessed Mother is recognized and celebrated, especially on Dec. 8, 2024, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception. Since Dec. 8 falls on a Sunday, and because all Sundays take precedence, this year’s Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception will be celebrated on Monday. Dec. 9. “Born without Original Sin, and chosen by God to bear His only Son, Mary plays an essential role in Christmas and our salvation,” Bishop Frank J. Dewane said in a letter to the faithful. “Her Motherhood made possible a pathway to Heaven for all the faithful, and She still intercedes on our behalf, drawing the faithful closer to Jesus and God through prayer.”

May 2024 News

LVF’s AMAYZING MONTH

May is the fifth month of the year and is associated with joy and rebirth. It is painted with vibrant hues of blooming flowers, especially this Flores de Mayo (Flowers of May) and warmer days. Some define the month of May as ‘going or moving.’ As we move forward and remain at the forefront of child safety and prevention from violence, abuse, exploitation, and trafficking, LVF corresponds with the meaning and symbolism of this month.

It is a month of finding new paths; LVF Vice Pres., Mr. Francisco Dizon & LVF Trustee, Mrs Vicky Cuisia opening doors to LVF Malihao to the BPO world; it is a celebration of the Feast of Mary Help of Christians, the announcements of the assignments of the Sisters, the successful medical mission conducted in collaboration with Veterans Memorial Hospital, the graduation of our two scholars, the commencement exercises of Malihao Senior High School, which were honored by the presence of the Israeli Ambassador to the Philippines, and the completion of OAP. These achievements are a testament to our dedication and inspire us to strive for more.

How aMAYzing it is to embark on a journey of self-discovery and growth, to anticipate new experiences, and to witness God’s blessings in all their richness. Our hearts are filled with gratitude for the opportunity to move forward, and we hope this journey continues to inspire and motivate each of us.

At LVF, we are dedicated and passionate about inspiring others to dream, learn, do, and become more. This unwavering commitment is at the heart of our mission and values, and it is your support and involvement that drives us to make a profound and lasting impact. You are an integral part of our success.

KIKO: LVF PALAWAN SUCCESS STORY

Francisco Gabua, also known as “Kiko” Custodio, is the youngest child of Melchor and Elizabeth Gabua, who are farmers in Barangay Bagong Sikat, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. His father is currently our agricultural consultant, having earlier spearheaded the Organic Farming effort at the Laura Vicuña Foundation in Palawan.

Kiko completed his elementary and secondary education at UST Angelicum College through the REAP PROGRAM (Re-entry Education Agenda for the Poor), a branch of the UST Angelicum Home Study Program run by the Salesian Sisters of St. John Bosco and based on the Laura Vicuña Foundation’s Palawan location. He got his bachelor’s degree in agriculture at Western Philippines University and passed the Licensure Examination for Agriculturists.

Bishop Broderick Pabillo provided Kiko with a scholarship that allowed him to finish his studies. After graduation, he lived and worked with the children at the Laura Vicuña Foundation, Inc. Palawan, for two years, acting as the boys’ assistant and assistant farm manager.

He was one of the Organic Agriculture Production NCII trainers under the TESDA and ATI of the Laura Vicuña Foundation Inc. The values of the religious community he lived with always guided him, contributing to his growth and making him the person he is today—all thanks to the FMA sisters for molding him into a good fruit of the Salesian Family. Seeking to further his knowledge and experience, Kiko spent a year in Israel, participating in the Agrostudies Program.

With this opportunity, he increased his level of agricultural knowledge. Kiko is starting a new adventure in the US as an agriculturist. Although farming was not his first dream, it has shaped who he is now. Kiko understands that looking ahead might occasionally cause one to lose sight of opportunities in the here and now.

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR GRADUATION, JAZ & EM

May 30. LVF Scholars Ms. Jazlyn Narvadez & Ms. Desiree Ligutan graduated from Senior High School at Colegio de Sta—Ana de Victorias under the Humanities and Social Sciences Strand. For our two scholars, this marks a significant turning point. Following years of acclimating to blended learning, particularly during the pandemic, their diligence eventually paid off. Reaching yet another important life milestone.

“I never thought I could accomplish my education, given the challenges I faced and the pandemic. But mostly, I am grateful for LVF, especially Sr. Marivic, FMA, for being the wind beneath my wings. And above all, to the Lord God for sustaining me, us every day.” she said.

LAURA VICUNA FOUNDATION & VETERANS MEMORIAL MEDICAL HOSPITAL JOINT MEDICAL MISSION

May 12. More than one hundred twenty (120) children, adults, and elderly benefited from the Laura Vicuna Foundation (LVF) and Veterans Memorial Medical Hospital (VMMH) joint Medical Mission to LVF’s Child Protection Community in Brgy. Hillcrest, QC! They were provided with free consultations, prescriptions, medicines, and vitamins.

Before the activity, LVF Social workers Ms. Joy, Ms. Patricia, Ms. Angie, and Sr. Phebe Lacse, FMA, made a courtesy call to the barangay captain and officials to plan and prepare the needed logistics.

The Medical Mission came at a perfect time because most kids had terrible colds, coughs, and other respiratory ailments. Conversely, older people often have not seen a doctor in a long time. The volunteer doctors and nurses have provided essential care within the community of Brgy. Hillcrest.

After completing their consultation, the recipients thanked the doctors, LVF, and its staff for reaching out to their community and expressed their satisfaction with the free vitamins and medications.

The Medical Mission was a success because of the collaboration of LVF, VMMH, and Brgy. Hillcrest. LVF is a partner community of the Veterans Memorial Medical Center-Family Medicine Department.

REGIONAL IT-BPM ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION
May 16. Mr. Francisco Dizon (LVF Vice President), Mrs. Maria Victoria Cuisia (LVF Board Member), Sr. Maria Guia Asparen, FMA (Directress) and Sr. Ernielyn Deypalan, FMA (Technical Directress) brings Laura Vicuña Foundation – Negros to the Regional IT-BPM Round table Discussion with IBPAP, City of Bacolod, BPOs, schools, and foundations. Bacolod City LGU organized this meeting as a gathering of minds to shape the future of the industry and community. (Thanks to Mrs. Joyce Dizon and Ambassador Jose L. Cuisia for accompanying their spouses, Francisco and Maria Victoria, respectively, to visit Laura Vicuña Foundation TVET Center in Malihao, Victorias City, Negros Occidental.) Together mold the future of the IT-BPM industry, fostering innovation and building strong partnerships for sustainable growth not only for Bacolod City but for Negros Island as well. According to the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Philippines’ Information Technology and Business Process Management (IT-BPM) sector has been one of the best-performing and employment-generating activities in the past four years. Its global leadership in voice-based services and continuing improvements in non-voice and complex process outsourcing show the sector’s promising growth trajectory. With the presence of LVF Negros at the meeting, we have been introduced to new networks and partner companies that may enable us to participate in this promising and growing industry. This pushes us beyond our usual and familiar courses, but the Lord leads the way, and we are ready to follow new paths.

GRADE 11 OUTREACH PROGRAM

May 8. The Grade 11 students, accompanied by Sr. Therese Yvonne Jance, FMA, conducted an outreach program for the children of Par 5. This outreach aimed to let the students experience the joy of sharing. Being poor, they can also share their little with their poorest brothers and sisters. They prepared hand-made stuffed toys and toy cars for the children and catechized them on the Sign of the Cross. The day was lively and full of laughter with their gift-giving, unfreezers, and short program for the children and their mothers. The day began with a prayerful journey as the group recited the Holy Rosary while traveling to the location. This was particularly significant as May is dedicated to Mary, and the intentions included those of our country, the Institute, our community, our families, and the Holy Father. Indeed, it was a meaningful and enriching experience.
